Part of the mission of the Walk Across Texas! is to help members of the community lead a healthier lifestyle by increasing physical activity and encouraging them to take steps towards living well. WAT has partnered with Living Well, a campaign sponsored by the National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, to provide wellness information at your fingertips to help you live well.

We have developed a fun way to share helpful wellness tips, help you to earn some miles for WAT and score a cool prize. It’s called Walking Bingo. The rules are simple. While you are outside completing your physical activity to earn miles for WAT, keep an eye on your surroundings and mark off any of the items on the Bingo card that you see. You must actually be participating in physical activity to have the item count. Bingo is completed by checking off all the items in a column, row, or diagonal line across the center.

WAT Participants who complete a "Bingo" can turn their card in at the RECHARGE event held on March 29 at Sue Haswell Park to collect their prize.

Double bonus round! Complete the ENTIRE bingo score card and you will receive an extra entry into the GRAND prize drawing for a piece of fitness equipment.

Living Well week runs from March 9th through March 15th and encourages families to learn to raise kids, eat right, spend smart and live well.
